Police have appealed for witnesses and dash cam footage after a young man was seriously injured in a crash on the M40 near Banbury on Sunday.

A Thames Valley spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury collision on the M40 northbound near Banbury.

“At around 5pm on Sunday evening, October 22, a collision occurred between a red and black Yamaha motorcycle and a red mini in lane three of the M40 not far from the slip road for junction 11.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his thirties, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital in Coventry, where he remains.
